Michael Den­mark is well known for tak­ing risks. His lat­est project to roll­out of MDME is The Great Euro­pean Car­ni­val (TGEC), cre­ated in part­ner­ship with some of the great­est names in the car­ni­val busi­ness around the world. New Work Media (NWM) were appointed last Decem­ber to pub­lish TGECs cor­po­rate lit­er­a­ture aimed at senior gov­ern­ment offi­cials and cor­po­rate part­ners from across Asia Pacific.


TGECs pub­li­ca­tion is writ­ten, trans­lated (tra­di­tional and sim­pli­fied Chi­nese) and designed by NWM with with pho­tog­ra­phy by Chris Lusher and Mor­gan Ommer. Print­ing is by Asia One in Hong Kong.

New work Media (NWM) has been closely linked with the Self Stor­age Asso­ci­a­tion Asia (SSAA) since its incep­tion last year. The self stor­age indus­try has recently had a remark­able growth in Asia Pacific with mar­ket inter­est from entre­pre­neurs and finan­cial institutions.

In order to com­mu­ni­cate the SSAA’s excep­tional first year of oper­a­tion, NWM devel­oped a ‘busi­ness cham­ber’ style mag­a­zine, that included in-​depth inter­views from indus­try lead­ers and mar­ket insights from oper­a­tors and suppliers.



Hong Kong, Sin­ga­pore and Japan have estab­lished mar­kets with China, Viet­nam, The Philip­pines and Malaysia emerg­ing. Demand for self stor­age is expected to con­tinue across the region with urban res­i­den­tial growth and a boom­ing mid­dle class.

The mag­a­zine launch coin­cided with the SSAA’s first regional indus­try con­fer­ence in Tokyo last month; in order to com­mu­ni­cate with Japan­ese del­e­gates, the pub­li­ca­tion was designed to accom­mo­date full bilin­gual content.

Luigi La Tona, Exec­u­tive Direc­tor, Self Stor­age Asso­ci­a­tion Asia commented,

The Self Stor­age Asso­ci­a­tion Asia and New Work Media have had the plea­sure of col­lab­o­rat­ing on sev­eral high pro­file projects includ­ing our first two mag­a­zines and our Expo brochure in two lan­guages that was dis­trib­uted to 200 del­e­gates. As a start-​up, we didn’t quite under­stand the degree of effort it would take to pro­duce these items. For that, the patience, under­stand­ing, and pro­fes­sion­al­ism from New Work Media to help us com­plete the media on time and to a per­sonal cre­ative degree was gen­er­ous to say the least.
